Test your checkout without buying anything
Your QA agent walks your shop like a customer, from the product to the payment form, checks every step and every price, and stops before paying. Every week, and after every deploy.
Free, no signup, about two minutes. What it checks, stage by stage
Product
The page loads with a price and a working add-to-cart button.
Add to cart
Something actually happens: the cart updates or opens. A button that does nothing is caught.
Cart
The item and price are right, the subtotal adds up, and the checkout button works.
Checkout
The checkout opens and the price still matches what the product page said.
Shipping
With test details on: shipping options load for an address, with their prices.
Payment form
With test details on: the card form actually appears and the pay button is ready.
Along the way it compares the price from product to cart to checkout, times each step, notes errors, and checks the cart on a phone. Most broken checkouts break before the pay button, and that's where it looks.
What it never does
- Pays, places an order, or presses Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay or PayPal
- Types card numbers or anyone's real details
- Creates an account (it checks out as a guest)
- Applies discount codes or changes your products
That's enforced in code, whatever it's asked.
What it doesn't prove
- That a payment goes through: that's past the pay button, with your payment provider and the bank
- That every product, option or country works: it tests one product and one address each run (add more as test plans)
- That your tax and shipping amounts are right for your business, only that they appear and add up
Going further than the free test
The free test stops at your checkout's contact and address step. Add your shop and you can let your agent use PageCanary's test details there, so it goes on to shipping and the payment form, and watches its test inbox for your abandoned-cart email. How checkout testing works
