PageCanaryBot

PageCanaryBot is PageCanary's website checker. If you see it in your logs, it visited your site to look for problems that affect your visitors, like an SSL certificate that's about to expire, a page that won't load, or broken links.

What it does

• Loads your homepage and a few key pages (such as contact or booking) the way a visitor's browser would.
• Checks whether links and images on those pages work.
• Reads your SSL certificate's expiry date.

What it never does

• Submit forms, log in, add items to a cart, or click buttons.
• Run security or vulnerability scans, or probe for weaknesses.
• Make more than about one request per second to your site.

PageCanaryBot follows robots.txt. To block it completely:
